SANTA CRUZ STUD FARM BELONGS TO THE Santa Cruz Farm located in the city of Araras, state of São Paulo, currently engaged in orange plantation and grain cultivation. That lovely farm belongs to the Crespis since the beginning of the century and its cultures have undergone many changes. Today, in addition to have 1,073 acres fully cultivated, it has , since 1994 focused its interests towards the breeding of the Mangalarga horses.
The Stud Farm, built back in the 30's in a British style, which for decades homed Purebred stallions who took part in championships under Crespi's name, homes now a Mangalarga breeding-stock under RTM's name.
We have aimed at the ongoing genetic development of this remarkable saddle horse who has, along the years, been developed and refined by the Brazilian master breeders.
Today, our breeding-stock includes 15 highly selected broodmares, showing themselves to be highlighted among the others: ALTEZA EAM (Tutano JO x Ribalta), Brazilian Trotted March Champion; IMAGEM DA COPI (Maestro do Jek x Orquídea VA) excellent qualification with a score of 98; FENICIA DA JANGA (Turbante JO x Birmania do Cedro Alto), full sister to the National Champions DELGADO DA JANGA and SRI LANKADA JANGA; FRONTEIRA EAM (Fulano R x Alegria EAM), dam of JESSICA EAM, our first brood, now a champion.
The crosses have been made with the assistance of prominent zoologists who used the following stallions: DESFILE and ORVALHO JP, both awarded the Grand National Champion Stallion, ROMANCE DL, Grand National Champion Stallion, FORRO R, CRITERIO HAB, BRIGADEIRO DA JANGA, SAGARAN NJ, ESTORIL EAM as well as the stallions MOAB DA COPI, National Champion Colt and OBJETIVO DA COPI.
Arising from our first generation the highlights are: PITANGA RTM (Forro R x Tupaia RN), a beautiful dapple-gray filly who has just started her carrier in the show rings. And from the second generation we can point out STELLA RTM (Desfile JOP x Gabi EAM), SPLENDIDA RTM (Gala x Fronteira EAM); SERESTA RTM (Criterio HAB x Tupaia RN; SEREIA RTM (Desfile JOP x Prata CR), SPERANZA RTM (Moab da COPI x Califórnia EAM).
The currenta activities of the Stud Farm are enhanced by na equitation school, exclusively designed for children, who learn not only to ride but also to take care of their horses.
