n Argentina, the Haras Mayed stud farm has been striving to reach the highest possible quality, on a par with the world’s most renowned breeding programs. In order to make this aim come true, over the past 10 years breeder Fernando and his son Joaquin de Santibañes have been purchasing, mainly from Brazil and the United States, an enviable collection of broodmares, which today includes acclaimed daughters of several of the Arabian Horse world’s most important sires. Among these, we have: - daughters of Grand National Champion *EL SHAKLAN, the most important representative of the Golden Cross lineage (crossing of Egyptian and Spanish bloodlines); - daughters of the great US and Canadian National Champion *ALI JAMAAL, a sire who in addition to having unquestionable merits of his own has been disseminating his impressive genetic power throughout the world; - daughters of BEY SHAH, whose get include national champions in their own right as well as sons and daughters also producers of national champions, thus inscribing his name in the list of all-time greats in the history of this dignified breed; - daughters of the celebrated PADRON,

a US National Champion and Leading Sire of Champions, and still one of the most important producers of all time, currently syndicated and whose name lives on in numerous national champions throughout the world; - daughters of * LYPHARD, one of PADRON’s greatest sons in the world who has led the Brazilian’s Best Progeny statistics since 1986, with his get that has excelled the world over in both Halter and Performance classes. The Haras Mayed stud farm at present lodges a profusion of great individuals: VON HERTE ONIE, *FIRE BASKA, *NV ANGELICA, YNAHE HCF, *BEY SHARADE, NEAMA, *VANITY FAIR, JADE DE NUIT RMC, CAYMANA BEY SRA and TS MISS BEY SHAH, to name but a few. To this broodmare base, on which other magnificent individuals have left their mark, through an individual analysis of their morphological and genetic assets, the Haras Mayed stud farm has added a top notch team of professionals to be responsible for fundamental programs like nutrition, handling, breeding, show ring, marketing and all the topics that include the development of the breeding as a whole. Even so, the stud’s program in general counts on the cherished support of friends like Paulo Roberto Levy and David Boggs, who together with the Santibañes family get elated with every single conquest of the Haras Mayed stud farm. In its first phase, the breeding program was enriched with the wise use of *ZT SHARELLO and the Brazilian Grand National Champion, *PADRON’S IMAGE. In 1997, the Haras Mayed stud farm leased for one season, the Haras Capim Fino stud farm’s leading sire, the Brazilian Grand National Champion, *CAJUN PRINCE HCF, and the high quality of the 1998 products made evident the excellent results by them achieved. Currently, the Haras Mayed stud continues its relentless pursuit of excellence by using in its breeding program KHARID NA and the priceless MAGNUM PSYCHE who, in their capable hands, walked away as 1998 US National Champion.
