The Purebred Lusitano Horse’s full splendour can be found in Lancelote’s genealogy, which includes such acclaimed names as Yacht, Jararaca, Martini, Príncipe VIII, Cobra, Réptil, Enéias, Quadrado, Bailador and Toleirona. Bred by Dom Estevam Lancastre, Lancelote is sired by Faisão, (Coudelaria Freire), one of Dragão’s greatest products, of full Andrade blood, a symbol of beauty and functionality that has already been proven not only in the bullring but also through one of the world’s most impressive progenies ever seen in the Lusitano breed, including Distinto, Hippus, Infante, Hortelã, Fada, Gatão, Faraó and Faisão. His dam, Escopeta, a broodmare of ravishing morphology, is a daughter of Venturoso III, who boasts the distinction of having given his ex-owner, Architect Arsênio Raposo Cordeiro, the title of ‘Best Lusitano Breeder’ at the ‘Feira de Lisboa’ show in Portugal five years on the trot. Lancelote was crowned with a string of honours in the Brazilian show ring: he was Gold Medal winner and Reserve Imported 3-Year-Old Champion Colt at the XIV Purebred Lusitano Horse Show in 1995, winning the Imported 3-Year-Old Champion Colt award at the V Interstate Show in the same year, while in 1996 he won the Reserve Champion prize (Gold Medal) in the city of Bragança Paulista, and was Champion Stallion at the Água Branca Show, in São Paulo city.

A stallion of full Veiga blood, Juízo is considered to be a prime example of the Lusitano breed. Bred by Dr. Ortigão Costa and purchased in Colegã, Portugal, he brings the best and the purest in the bullfighting horse lineage like Bailador, Que-Bá and Sultão, a wellknown Veiga stallion who has been proudly serving Portugal’s all-time top saddle rider, João Branco Nuncio.
Juízo has the reputation of possessing the Lusitano’s most intensive noble traits, thus consolidating virtues unequalled to this day.
