An exceptional stallion, standing 16.24 hands in height at the withers, Hino has proven himself in terms of his amazing morphology (three times crowned Gold Medal winner and Grand Imported Champion Stallion in 1994), functionality (Paulista Dressage Champion award in 1997 and Reserve Champion Stallion title in 1998), and his prizewinning get’s success on the show circuit, besides having been Dressage Champion on two occasions. His sire is no less than the great Novilheiro (Dressage Champion at the Grand-Prix in S.George, France and Great Britain, Champion Stallion in England in Showjumping Classes and placed 12th in the world showjump ranking. His dam, Tinoca II was crowned three-time Gold Medal winner in Portugal and Leading Dam of Champions. Hino brings out all the traits of a super Lusitano horse. |

| The Haras Funchal stud farm set up its Lusitano breeding activities in July of 1995, and is located on Rodovia Marechal Rondon motorway, between the cities of Itú and Porto Feliz, in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. After having purchased excellent broodmares to make up the outstanding Funchal breeding-stock, its owners, got together as shareholders with other bold breeders in order to acquire the reputed sires, Embaixador and Quarteto do Top, in addition to having already enriched its herd by buying the renowned Hino, in this last year of 1998. This stud has selected its remarkable producers, Hino and Quarteto do Top and is now offering their breedings with the firm purpose of generating products of exceptional quality, which, by the way, sums up the Funchal stud’s commitment and pride in its brand. |
