Some years ago the Haras Iannoni stud farm started to import products from Portugal, taking into account their genetic values and morphological qualities above all. Good products from wise crosses and perceptive purchases are the result of persistent work in genetic improvement, carried out by the Haras Iannoni stud farm.

Ensuring good results in numerous performance classes, the Haras Iannoni stud has shown that the Andalusian Horse is also an excellent sport horse. Its participation in Equestrian Sports has demonstrated the several breeds’ varied abilities.

In 1998, the Haras Iannoni stud was, once again, distinguiched in the Portuguese Equestrian functional trials, Rural Showjumping, Manège and Dressage.

Many achievements have led the Iannoni stud to increasing admiration for the noble breed, and consequently, much heavier investments have been made in sires and broodmares, widening the possibility of new wins and acknowledgement by other breeders, leading the stud to play a more active role in the breed’s auctions, registering the most relevant disputes, as occurred at the ‘Six Star Sales’, ‘Baby Sales’ and at the ‘Luso-Brazilian Sales’, where QUARTETO DO TOP, a sire celebrated for his successful achievements at the hands of the Haras Iannoni stud, won acclaim, having fetched one of the top national prices in 1998.
