A young stallion gifted with an exceptional physical conformation and extraordinary genealogy. LEÃO goes down as one of the greatest hopes for improvement of the Lusitano breed. Sired by FALCÃO, a reputed stallion of rare beauty and an outstanding functional lineage, who was sired by ZELADOR, distinguished for having been 1994 Portugal National Champion Stallion. By his dam line, he is out of ZAGAIA, one of the most respectable broodmares of the Lusitano breed, a daughter of MARTINI, a remarkable bullfighting stallion, and out of JARARACA, full sister to MARTINI himself, both of them sired by PRÍNCIPE VIII, whose descendants also include three of the most noteworthy Lusitano sires: NEPTUNO, OPUS and NOVILHEIRO. LEÃO was ranked as an 80-point scored stallion, considered to be the highest honour ever gained by a Lusitano stallion, in Portugal, in the year of 1995. In Brazil, LEÃO was awarded a Gold Medal at the XV Brazilian Purebred Lusitano International Show, in São Paulo, in 1996, and his products are already being awarded, proving his qualities as a stallion. |
