THE BASE OF HI BREEDING The Haras Iannoni stud firmly believes that a good mare of consistent pedigree is the starting point for a good product. In order to achieve quality breeding it is vital to make full use of selected broodmares, who provide both good conformation and genetic power. The stud permanently conducts an assessment process on its own bred products or those who are starting breeding and highlights some of its broodmares, who are already part of the Iannoni stock, for their type, pedigree and also prospects of international results. In order to obtain imposing, harmonious and functional individuals, the stud has gathered national and international champions worthy of the authentic Lusitano breed’s prominences, who reveal the Iannoni breeding’s genuine style. |

HORTELÃ was crowned with the title of ‘Champion of Champions’ by unanimous decision at the 1994 Lisbon International Championship and also gained many times a Gold Medal honour at the Brazilian Purebred Lusitano Show. HARPA is registered in the Portuguese Studbook with a score of 81 points. This remarkable broodmare was awarded a Gold Medal at the 1995 Lisbon Lusitano International Festival, in Portugal. She is dam of two great champions, the stallion MAESTRO and the mare NUVEM, both Gold Medal winners. In Brazil, HARPA was crowned Reserve Grand International Champion Mare and was a Gold Medal winner at the 1996 Purebred Lusitano International Show, and Reserve Champion Adult Mare, in the year of 1997/98.
